Residents are compensated by the County of Los Angeles and by the University of Southern California. Salaries are identical and individual benefits vary slightly based on employer. For details, please visit LA County Benefits and USC Benefits.

Salaries compare favorably to other programs in Los Angeles.  SEIU-CIR (Committee of Interns and Residents) is active in bargaining for our competitive salaries.  The CIR recently negotiated a new contract that includes annual raises of 2.5%, 2% and 2.5% over the next three years, respectively, with an estimated total compensation increase of over 10% in that time period.
